A Sunday Afternoon in June

Definition of the Day – Hemorrhoids: A pain occurring in your head that you ironically attribute to your ass.
I have to admit, ‘the Hemorrhoi’ is a name I’ve always wanted to add to the fantasy world… Give them some nasty teeth.
Just a post to say that I’ve added a couple of more things to the Essay Archive section, including a prospectus for one of my bungled dissertation attempts (actually, the one I almost completed before the book deals came knocking). Talk about religious conversions. Take an Advil before bothering…
Also, I can’t figure out how to bury this part of the blog behind something more consumer friendly. I’m a techno-knob, I know. Christ, I can’t even fix the book links below! Suggestions would be appreciated.
Wow, don’t I look the eager beaver.
Thanks very much, Bakker, for your words.
I’ve no experience with wordpress beyond reading a couple blogs so I apologize but I’m unable to offer any advice.
Scott,
It’s me, Terry Findlay. I am now a WordPress consultant and would be glad to help you tinker with this site. I have recently created a WordPress site for Caitlin Sweet and I am going to be working with Peter Watts on his site when he finishes his current book. You can take a look at my web design site at http://www.simtechwebdesign.com. You can contact me through the contact form on the site.
You know, looking at the complaints of sexism and misogyny I’m curious – have you ever tried giving the books to someone and telling them a woman wrote it with the same intent that you did?
Ouch, can’t really read truth and context – it’s like following a snake eating it’s tail, with it finding ever more ‘nurishment’ in the very thoughts the previous nurishment had provoked upon consumption. Or a bit like holding a microphone near the speaker it’s plugged into. Could do with more blood and titties.
Also I found this for making a static front page so you can hide all your dirty, dirty blogging behind it. I haven’t experimented with it so I do not know if it works.

Oh, and on the dragons/spaceships thing
Compared to our ancestors then, we are stranded, shipwrecked, not just in the present, but in a present that isn’t real.
It’s just an anecdote, but there’s a video game I play called unreal world. It’s based in the Finnish iron age. It starts up with this text:
There are countless stories, legends and myths about the first winter.
During the first winter, the Inhemo became many.
Men, wives, children, the heroes and the wise ones walked the earth.
The heroes made the fire, they made the tools and shelters , the made skis,
and they made drums and the kantele.
When the first winter was over,
Inhemoes could not understand the wind singing,
nor the bear and the forest humming.
The wise ones among the people said that the world was no longer real.
The world was unreal.
Any chance of changing the blog’s name from Three Pound Brain to More Blood and Titties?
RSB, do you plan to participate in any author events in SW Ontario in the fall?
