Some Prospective and Retrospective Evil
by rsbakker
Grimdark Magazine has a Kickstarter project up and running for their Evil is a Matter of Perspective anthology, a collection of fantastic tales featuring the villainous point of view.
Check it out, if you’re interested. Help it out if you can. I’ll be writing the Foreword as well as providing a short story–an Uster Scraul tale, I’m thinking at the moment.
Andy’s official Second Apocalypse Forum review of The Great Ordeal can be found here. And Adam’s Wertzone review of The Great Ordeal can be found here. Both are spoiler-free, and music to this old writer’s heart. Man–people seem to be digging the book so far!
What’s Uster Scraul?
seconded!
Did a google search which returned no results, and a search on TSA forum, also none. I’d do a search here but I don’t know how, targeting google to this site gives nothing as well (except this post).
WHO IS USTER SCRAUL?
:P.
this RSB guy, i swear to god
You guys…
It’s like we’re sitting around a campfire! 🙂
Those who’ve read TGO know. Sorry to be cryptic…
Cagey, cagey…I’m on it though, 😉
Oooohhhhh – devil in the details 🙂
Of course. Will have to look closely later then.
Lol – too cool.
Sorry to be cryptic…
Finally! How many books in are we? lol!
I was kind of hoping it would be A Crack In The Wall, but I am starting to think that will never see the light of day…
What’s the difference between getting one of two stories that you nothing about? And what makes you think that this isn’t a Crack in the Wall?
Since he used the title to refer to it before, I’d presume he would do so again if it was the same one. We know a tiny bit about A Crack, that it was a story from an antagonist’s point of view. That seemed interesting to me. That being said, sure, we don’t know the full contents of either, so who knows?
I’ve shopped Crack to a couple of different places now. They called the police. It’s a strange story.
I get the same reaction when I sell crack.
Its time will come :).
Should probably note that it doesn’t actually start until June 15th
Yeesh! Thanks for pointing that out Zach.
Are you kidding me? According to the Wertzone review it won’t be released in the UK until the 29th of September. Tell me that’s wrong?! Is the September date really the paperback release date, as implied by the link he posted?
I’m pretty sure that’s right. Sorry, TM.
OK. Not as bad as it first seemed, I’m sure it can be shipped internationally in July. The UK Treasury will just have to lose out on the tax Amazon wouldn’t have paid them.
Looking forward to this anthology!
Is this the successor to the Unveiled title?
I have no idea, but then I am more a cloud of crumbs sneezed out of a four year old’s nose than anything. I just go where the mucous takes me. (I think this analogy is a good case in point).
Lol. I think we’re all just out here sneezing. The prepared and lucky just sometimes happen to have a box of tissue near by, marking the difference between a mess and success ;).
What is your preferred method of purchase for fans? Which platform would be best ?
Side note, don’t think I can handle cliffhangers such is my fervour for this series. just buying it now and waiting until book 4 to devour it in one sitting seems like a decent option
Support your local independent bookstore!
To be honest, I personally don’t see the cliffhangers–the story is a serial, so everything ends medias res, as your English Professor might say, but cliffhangers, not so much. Since the second book is complete, you don’t have that long of a wait.
If you had to guess, would it be more than a year until TUC? Or less?
Neither! 😉
I’ve had a completed draft for more than two years now–you do know that. I’m presently working on rewrites now.
Indeed, well, that’s a good enough answer for me.
Definitely looking forward to next summer already.
